What does it take to stay committed to a project – to stay committed to any project?

I don’t know about you, but despite my best intentions, I still sometimes take on a just a little bit too much – or WAY too much 🙂

The key difference these days – compared to 10 or more years ago is this:

I only do it because I choose to do so for ME – nobody else.

I’ve figured out what my vision is – lucky me…!

Still, the thing is: when you start pursuing what you love, you often feel like a kid in one gigantic candy shop.

There is just so much wonderful stuff to do and you simply want to do it all!

For instance, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to join a 14 Day Video Challenge. This involved posting one YouTube video a day for 4 days in a row.

Yesterday marked Day 14 so I reflected on back on the 14 days and what made me commit to finishing what I started.

Have a think about the last time you started a project and consider whether you finished it.

If you didn’t finish – what was the reason?

If you had finished it, what difference could it have made?

How would you feel if you had finished?

Make a plan – the next time you choose to take on something new – get a buddy, mentor or coach to keep you accountable.

It can be as simple as ringing up a friend, telling them what you’re doing and that you’ll report back to them every day or week – depending on the project.

This alone can make a massive difference to helping you stay on track!

I look forward to hearing about your success.

Hugs,
